The geoduck's high market value has created an $80-million industry, with harvesting occurring in the states of Alaska, Washington, and Oregon and the Canadian province of British Columbia. As of 2011, these clams sell in China for over US$33/kg or $15 per pound. The world's first geoduck fishery was created in 1970, but demand for the half-forgotten clam was low at first due to its texture. This estimate is used to predict the two percent allowed for commercial harvesting. Essential skills to enable you to become a successful accompanist include interpersonal skills, sensitivity to performance elements (tempo, phrasing, tone, etc.), networking, and a broad musical range. You must be able to match the lead artist's style and be quick to react to their mistakes. The role of an accompanist is greatly demanding because one needs to be attentive to the tiniest of details. An accompanist can be hired to work in a school, theater, church, community choir, or even to work privately for a musician. He/she plays a musical instrument (piano, guitar, or harp) while the other artist sings or dances. The students/parents are responsible for making arrangements at the advice of their private teacher.An Accompanist is a professional musician who provides musical accompaniment to dancers, singers, and other artists during performances or rehearsals. Students at the Intermediate and Advanced levels will probably need more time than what the school provides to adequately prepare repertoire. If you cannot attend these rehearsals, the slots are full, or you have used your 3 hours for the semester, you must make arrangements yourself to rehearse and pay a pianist. What if the scheduled rehearsal times don’t work for me? Please utilize all pianists for the regular rehearsal schedule each week.
